The event, which will be held from September 24-26 in Maryland, will focus on the development of scalable web applications and architectures. Surge 2014 will feature four key tracks: Scaling Architecture, Scaling Infrastructure, Scaling Organizations and Training.
Jason Hoffman, VP Head of Product Line at Ericsson, will kick off the event with his keynote speech on ‘Scaling Through Acquisition’. This talk will focus on the product and engineering approach to evaluating merger & acquisition targets and maximizing the ease of integration. Other notable sessions include Netflix’s Brendan Gregg, who will cover everything ‘From Clouds to Roots’ in scaling infrastructure, Nathen Harvey from #LearnChef with an Introduction to Chef, and Brian Geffon from LinkedIn on Server Side JS Execution at Scale.
